Yuli Yamano

Yuli's first appearance is during the episode of Shadowland. His parents were buying him a skateboard to his delight, and the moment he chose the skateboard, he was off, riding it away from them. He met Ryo Sanada and White Blaze soon after a small accident. Ryo had made sure he was okay before continuing on with White Blaze, leaving Yuli behind to feel surprised and shocked that the older teen would have a white tiger walking calmly beside him. It wasn't long after when his whole world changed. The Dynasty attacked his city and kidnapped the civilians of Toyama/Shinjuku, including Yuli's parents. Yuli was nearly killed during a fight between Ryo and a sentinent Dynasty soldier. He was saved by Mia Koji at the last second.

His introduction to all five Ronin Warriors officially happened in epioode 2: Glory for Anubis. Having no one else, and learning that his parents were now prisoners of Talpa, the evil Dynasty Lord, Yuli stayed with Mia and the Ronins, quickly becoming a supportiung character for the series, and a friend to Mia and the Ronins. In a lot of ways, Yuli was like the younger brother to the six. Yuli had his fair share of trouble, often becoming a target of the Warlords of the Dynasty, along with Mia, to further ensnare the Ronin Warriors. Yuli's faith in the Ronins would prove to him time again and again that the Ronins would always come through for him when he needed them the most. In return, Yuli's care for the Ronins increased. He demonstrated this twice when he helped Sage and Kento during separate incidents of being attacked by one of the Warlords within the first season.

Yuli is an energetic and mostly happy child who remains optimistic that the Ronins will free his parents from Talpa. Determined to helo them in any way, he sticks close by as much as possible, though this had led some of the Ronins to thinking he was more of a pest. Despite this, his selfless actions and heroics to help them out proves his worth to them, that he's not such a pest, but just an ordinary boy with a giant heart and a giant imagination. As per his imaginative playing, White Blaze was the only one who would play as his mighty steed, while Yuli played pretend Ronin Warrior, Yuli of the Wind.

Regardless of what the Ronins initially thought of Yuli, they tried to make sure he was kept safe by leaving him with Mia and then later on, with Anubis who took both Mia and Yuli under his protection while the Ronins fought against the Dynasty Warlords. Yuli would later on become the bearer of the Jewel of Life, a mystical necklace with the power to protect its wearer and those the wearer cares about. It would become a powerful help to Yuli during the Dymasty wars. Later on after the war, Yuli would be reunited with his parents, but would still visit the Ronins and Mia, even traveling with them to New York (Gaiden OVA) and to Africa (Legend of Inferno Armoor/Kikōtei Densetsu OVA). In the OVA, Message, Yuli has a very small part in the series, but it would show a new beginning for him, as he was learning the Art of Kendo and was last seen in a tournament.
