Rowen Hashiba is quoted as "the most dangerous and cunning of the Ronin Warriors." Rpwen's IQ is said to be 250. He is a logical thinker, using tactics and strategies to defeat his opponents. He prefers rational answers to those hard-life questions when it comes to what the Dynasty is up to and is the voice of reason when the other Ronin Warriors want to rush right into battle without a plan. His intelligence worries Talpa greatly that he uses his netherspirits in an attempt to destroy Rowen after he is separated from the other Ronin Warriors, floating in space. If there is one thing Rowen absolutely hates, it's impulsiveness. He doesn't like to rush head first into a dangerous situation without knowing exactly what he's up against, particularly if he feels there is a trap laid out. He is often calm even under duress, but he can experience frustration and helplnessness when things don't seem to work out, or when he feels Rowen's armor is called Strata and he wields a recurve crossbow. He is an excellent shot with accurate precision, able to fire off as many arrows as needed. His major attack power is the Arrow Shock Wave, a powerful attack that wipes out anything in its path, similar to a hurricane.

Rowen's family history begins with Toyotomi Hideoyoshi who was the first to use the name Hashiba for himself. Later on, the Hashiba clan was wiped out by Tokugawa. Beyond that, not much is known about the ancient histpry of the Hashiba clan. Rowen's parents are ten years apart in age. His father, Genichirou, is a professor at the university and said to be somewhat of a mad scientist because he never leaves his lab in Kyoto. He pretty much raised Rowen on his own after his wife, unnamed, divorced him when Rowen was twelve and left them to pursue her own interests in International Journalism. While Genichirou is intelligent, Rowen's mother is a bit of an air-head who treats Genichirou and Rowen like friends instead of family. Rowen found the Strata armor through researching ancient history, coming to learn of the armor on his father's side of the family. Due to an unknown mystery, the armor had been lost and Rowen wanted to know more of this armor. He created a computer program, but even when it fully analyzed the data, he didn't understand it. His mother would be the one who helped him discover where where he could go to learn more, and that was Amanohashidate. It was there that he discovered the Strata armor and received it as his own.
