Talpa is the main villain of the Ronin Warriors/YST series. According to the Ronin Warrior legend, Talpa bore an incredible armor that gave him power and strength that no one could go up against without getting killed. Only one person was ever able to beat him, and that was the Ancient One/Kaos. He was initially killed and his armor separated into nine armors. Later on, Talpa would find a way to return, but without his body. Somehow he regained control of four of the armors, the Seasonal armors, and gave them to four men who would become his dark warlords.
Talpa's plan was to acquire all nine armors back to himself, though he would have to wait a thousand years before the first Ronin Warrior armor would appear.As a test Talpa sent out a Dynasty soldier capable of intelligent speech under the command of his four Warlords. This battle brought out the other four Ronin Warriors who tried to help the first Ronin on the scene, which was Ryo. The Ronins would prove to be slightly stronger than Talpa had anticipated. Separating them to different parts of Japan, Talpa continued his assault on Toyama/Shinjuku, but he did not expect the Ronin Warriors to stay away for long.
Despite his Warlords' efforts to finish off the Ronin Warriors before they could reunite, the five Ronins reunited. Talpa would not give up trying to capture them in order to regain the five Ronin Warrior armors.During the first battle against them, Talpa nearly defeated all five Ronins and reclaimed part of the lost armors, that initially gave him back his body. He had not expected Ryo of Wildfire to escape, nor had he expected Ryo to bear a new mystical armor that would lead to his defeat and the rescue/revival of the other four Ronins.
Talpa would not stay gone for long, and when he returned he picked back up where he started; trying to capture the Ronin Warriors. Eventually, he was able to capture three of them: Cye of the Torrent, Sage of the Halo, and Kento of Hardrock through his Warlords, Sekhmet, Warlord of Venom, Cale, Warlord of Darkness/Corruption, and Dais, Warlord of Illusion. He would then send a special warrior named Kayura to capture the two more powerful Ronin Warriors, Ryo of the Wildfire and Rowen of the Strata. During the rescue of the three Ronins, Talpa managed to capture the other two Ronin Warriors. Determined to finally get all nine armors back, he locked all five of the Ronins and the four Warlords into separate towers with Netherspirits guarding over them until he could succeed in his goals.
Talpa is a cruel and vicious demon who will not stop at anything to get what he wants. He doesn't take insubordination lightly, punishing even his Warlords with agony. It would be this cruelty that would eventually turn one of his Warlords against him.
