White Blaze first appears in the first episode, "Shadowland" of Ronin Warriors, accompanying the Ronin Warrior Ryo as they walk through Toyama, catching the shocked surprised and apprehensive fear of the people. They encounter a boy named Yuli who was injured when he fell. White Blaze surprised the boy by gently licking his face and after a brief question and answering between Ryo and Yuli, White Blaze continued on his way with the Ronin Warrior. Not much is known about White Blaze's past or his age, but it's been shown in the OVAs, specifically Message, that he had accompanied the Ancient One a thousand years ago during the first war with Talpa. It was White Blaze who first chose Ryo to live with and protect, (though he would eventually come to protect all of the Ronin Warriors, as well as Mia and Yuli), and to guide him back to the Ancient One, knowing that Ryo was one of the destined Ronin Warriors to fight against Talpa.
While he can be aggressive with enemies, White Blaze is extremely gentle around those he cares for and will do whatever it takes to protect them, even at the risk of his own life. This courage was proven when he took a fatal blow meant for Ryo during a battle between Lord Saberstryke and Ryo in a fight for the Fervor Swords. His first injury was bad, but did not kill him. During the second battle, White Blaze managed to retrieve one Fervor Sword for Ryo, but died for his efforts.
Surprisingly, Saberstryke had both admiration and compassion for the Ronin Warriors as they grieved over the lost of their beloved White Blaze and had his own tiger Blaxk Blaze revive White Blaze by becoming one with the white tiger. This act of compassion would later enable White Blaze to transform into Black Blaze, armor included, being the Fervor Swords bearer for Ryo whenever Ryo donned the Armor of Inferno.
Throughout the series, White Blaze proved himself to be a loyal and protective companion wise beyond human means and capable of going to extreme distances. There is nothing that frightens him and he's usually always the first one to jump into battle, despite being warned or pleaded not to. When not at rest or in battle, he is often playing with Yuli going on imaginary adventures as his faithful steed.
